Welcome to the Lonely Miaow Association. We are an incorporated non-profit organisation dedicated to the rescue and care of stray and abandoned cats and kittens in the greater Auckland area for over 20 years.
Lonely Miaow's mission is 'No more Strays'. Our rescue method is known as trap-assess-resolve (TAR). We never return a cat back to a colony situation and we do whatever possible to rehome the cats and kittens we rescue.
Bear received his name, not due to size but to the fact he loves to sleep on laps and enjoys cuddles more than playing with toys and reminds everyone of a teddy bear. He will cause many laughs as he loves to get in to unusual spots to try and sleep. He would love to come to your home today!

Isobel (Izzy for short) is the runt of the litter. She is our sweet little girl who loves to give you kisses and snuggle with you. She is also very playful and growls like a big girl when the others try to take her toys off her. She has stolen our hearts with her adorableness and she is impossible not to love.

Parrot is the smallest kitten in her litter. She hard a extremely rough beginning to her life but now she is back to normal, she has shown her playful side. Everything must be looked out, smelt and if can, played with. After all that play, she loves nothing better to climb on to your shoulder or lap and take a nap. She would love to come to your home today!

Fluffy is a beautiful medium haired boy, he loves to run around with his siblings, playing with toys and destroying boxes. Sometimes it does take him a while to come and explore new toys and areas, but with a little help, he starts to enjoy himself. Fluffy will require brushing everyday. Jane is a gentle black and white girl who looks like she overdid it a little bit with the eyeliner – just adorable. Jane was bullied by some bigger cats in her previous home and was a bit cautious when she arrived. But now she is coming out of her shell and shows her very affectionate side. Jane enjoys all the attention you can offer her and especially likes to have her head and her belly rubbed. She is starting to play with her teaser toys now and will be a very playful and affectionate companion once she settles down in her new home. Jane would be a perfect cat for a family with older children. More photos of Jane: http://www.trademe.co.nz/pets-animals/cats/cats/auction-583526592.htm
