Adoption fees
All of our cats and kittens come vet checked, desexed, microchipped (registered on the New Zealand Companion Animal Register), have received at least their first vaccination, and are up to date with their flea and worm treatments. The adoption fee we collect allow us to recoup some costs and continue our rescue work.
Adopting through PETstock
Our partnership with PETstock allows us to place the majority of our rescue cats and kittens in their stores for adoption. With eight convenient locations throughout the Auckland region, PETstock offers exceptional adoption facilities and knowledgeable staff who are eager to introduce you to our available kitties. If you find a furry friend you'd like to bring home, please contact the PETstock store directly where the cat is located, which will be listed in their bio. The adoption process can usually be completed on the same day, in-store, once a match has been found.
Home adoptions
At Lonely Miaow, we understand that not all cats are comfortable in a store setting. For those shy kitties, we offer the option of home adoptions. This means that you can meet these adorable felines by filling out a simple application form and arranging a visit to their foster home. Please note that filling in the application form does not obligate you to adopt the kitty, nor does it guarantee that you will be able to adopt the kitty you apply for. It simply helps us to ensure that our furry friends find the perfect forever home.
