Cats are adorable pets providing affectionate companionship for both young and old, but unfortunately, too many are struggling for survival on their own without a family to care for them. This is your chance to help make a difference by providing for these underprivileged cats and kittens in your Will, giving them a chance for a new life in a loving home.
What is a bequest?
A bequest can be a sum of money, possessions, or items of property left to another person, group or charity in your Will.
What is a Will?
Your Will is a legal document that contains written instructions identifying who will receive your belongings (estate) after you die.
Why should I leave something to Lonely Miaow?
Leaving a bequest to the Lonely Miaow Association is a meaningful way to support underprivileged cats and kittens by giving them a chance in life. It is an opportunity to accomplish some good beyond your lifetime and give something back to the cats and kittens you love, so many of which are homeless, lonely and in need of a helping hand.
How much should I give?
The Lonely Miaow Association is a non-profit charity which survives on the generous support, donations, sponsorship and bequests from people like yourself. It is entirely up to you to determine what you feel would be an appropriate contribution. No matter how large or small, any contribution is graciously and thankfully received.
How will my bequest be used?
Although most services are provided by volunteers, there are many ongoing expenses associated with running our charity, including:
Veterinary expenses Education Cat and kitten food Management and administration Rescue cages, holding cages, supplies Publicity and raising public awareness Transport
Every day we struggle to keep up with the escalating stray cat population. We need more money to expand our resources so we can make a greater impact in the effort to control the problem.Any contribution you make will play a critical role in the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption process - ultimately providing care and shelter for all stray cats and kittens.
Making a bequest
If you decide to make a bequest to the Lonely Miaow Association Incorporated it is important to record that wish in your Will. Please see your Solicitor to have it written up correctly. Having your Solicitor draw up your Will ensures that your wishes will be executed exactly as you want.
