We at Lonely Miaow would love to work with local businesses who care about the plight of stray and abandoned cats and kittens in the greater Auckland region. Here are some ways in which you could help.
Flyer printing
Perhaps you are a printing company, or you have an account with a printing company. Flyers are an important way for us to get our messages out to the people of Auckland. If you would like to cover the cost of printing these flyers, please contact us. In return, your company's logo can be included in the design of the flyers, and also on our Sponsors and Supporters page.
Click-to-Give
We would love to get our Click-to-Give program running. This is based on the hugely successful site www.theanimalrescuesite.com which provides between 150,000 and 300,000 bowls of food for animals in shelters across the United States each day. Many thousands of people worldwide return to this site each day to click the link and do their bit to provide food for shelter animals. Each click is paid for by the advertisers who choose to advertise on this site. If you would like to be involved in New Zealand's own, albeit smaller, version of this program, please contact us.
Member or Kitten Package content
We are developing packages for both our new members, and also people who adopt from us. Things we would love to include in these packages include vouchers and discounts for cat or pet related products and services (e.g. pet portraits, vet care, pet insurance) as well as items such as cat food or cat toys. If you can help with this, please contact us. If you're not in a cat-related business you could consider having cat-related items branded with your company's logo for inclusion in these packages.
Advertise with us
We have opportunities for businesses to advertise on our website and in our general e-newsletter. This newsletter goes out by e-mail to over 900 inboxes every couple of months. Over 90% of our readers are located in the greater Auckland region. Most of our readers are female, covering a range of living situations including families with young children, families with mostly adult children, couples with no children and groups in a flatting situation. While most of our supporters have at least a cat, many also have other pets including dogs, fish, turtles and fire belly newts.
