The Lonely Miaow Association is an incorporated non profit organization dedicated to the rescue and care of stray and abandoned cats and kittens in the greater Auckland area.
 Lonely Miaow are once again selling Entertainment Books as a fundraiser. The Entertainment Book is a local restaurant and activity guide, which provides 100s of 25% to 50% off, and 2-for-1 offers, from restaurants, cafes, activities and accommodation throughout Auckland. The 2012/13 edition again features many Auckland favourites such Merediths, The Grove, SidArt, The Long Room, Sale St, La Zeppa, Wagamama, Circus Circus, Auckland Zoo, Kelly Tarlton’s, Event and Hoyts Cinema’s and many, many more. New additions such as Snapdragon, Fish, The Britomart Brewery, No 1 High St, Stoneyridge, Villa Maria, Mozaik Café, Rainbow’s End and Nosh make the new 2012/13 Book the biggest and best ever!
The Books will be available for delivery in the first week of April, but if you pre-order a copy of the exciting new Book before April 1st, you will also receive a bonus sheet of vouchers including 6 offers from businesses new to the 2012/13 edition. For every Entertainment Book purchased, a portion of the proceeds will help Lonley Miaow’s work in the rescue and care of stray and abandoned cats and kittens in the greater Auckland area.

Who has the keys to our rescue centre - YOU DO!
One of the things we would really love to have is a rescue centre. It would not need to be anything fancy - a three bedroom house with a big backyard which needs a bit of TLC would be perfect. At the moment our rescuers can only rescue as many cats and kittens as they have room to keep at their own home (the cats and kittens are then moved to foster homes as soon as possible). If we had a rescue centre our rescuers could focus on rescuing as many cats as they have time to rescue after work. (Yep, everyone at Lonely Miaow is a volunteer so we all have to work during the day, to pay our own bills).
This is where YOU come in. We need your old keys - those keys everyone has tucked away somewhere which open unknown locks. If we get a good collection we can exchange them for cash at a scrap metal dealer. If you have some old keys that you no longer want, please send them to us at PO Box 125-138, St Heliers, Auckland 1740.
