Welcome to the Lonely Miaow Association.  We are an incorporated non-profit organisation dedicated to the rescue and care of stray and abandoned cats and kittens in the greater Auckland area for over 20 years.

Lonely Miaow's mission is 'No more Strays'.  Our rescue method is known as trap-assess-resolve (TAR). We never return a cat back to a colony situation and we do whatever possible to rehome the cats and kittens we rescue.

Would you like to volunteer with Lonely Miaow? Please fill in this form, and we will be in touch to discuss the opportunities we currently have available.

Mark your calendars! The annual Lonely Miaow Book Fair is on again November 9th 2014, Sunday at Barkley Manor 398 Great North Road, Grey Lynn. 10am-3pm.

With Special guest, international best-selling author Victoria L. Dreyer, best known for her post-apocalyptic series, The Survivors.

There is a $5 entry fee for entry between 10-11am. EFTPOS available.

This is a great chance to stock up on great reads, all the while helping out the stray cats and kittens of Auckland. All proceeds from this event will go towards vet care and treatments, de-sexing, food and litter for our rescue cats and kittens.

Thank you to Connie Foster for producing this video clip on Lonely Miaow as part of a school project (her brief was to create a news item which led her to producing something that was close to her heart and a wide community issue - that of stray cats). Lonely Miaow was her choice of organisation to feature as this 'faux' news item. Good work Connie!
